Training Programs
Our gun dog training program will prepare your dog to hunt upland fields and from a duck blind. Gun dog training starts as early as 6 months of age. Training includes the following:

-Obedience (sit, heel, place, here, sit-to-whistle, come-to-whistle, and kennel).

-Introduction to bird, gunfire and water

-Force fetch training
-
-Collar conditioning
-
-Steadiness training
Gun dog training takes a minimum of four months, sometimes more for some dogs. The cost is $650 per month. The monthly fee includes boarding, feeding of a quality diet (Purina Pro Plan Performance Dog Food) and training birds. Not included is veterinary expenses. Additional cost for live flyers.

Our advanced gun dog training program is for dogs that have been through our Gun Dog Training program or for dogs that have all the skills above but want to advance. (Dogs not trained by us must undergo an evaluation before being accepted into the program. Cost is $50 but will be waived if entering one of our programs).
Our advanced gun dog training program will teach the dog to mark and retrieve multiple birds, can also do basic blind retrieves and responds to whistle and hand signals. This includes the following:

-Pattern blinds

-Single T drills

-Multiple marks on land and water

Advanced gun dog training
We offer group training sessions for individuals that want to train with their dogs and are looking for some instruction for themselves and their dogs.
Groups are limited in size to ensure proper instruction

Cost is $50.00/handler per day

We offer private training sessions for those looking to get one on one instruction or just need to focus on a particular skill. Available Wednesdays and Fridays by appointment only. Saturday or Sunday available on a occasion by appointment only. Please contact us for more information.

1)Dog will need to have an initial evaluation before entering any training program

2)Up-to-date vaccination records for Rabies, DHLP-PV-CV and Bordetella

3)Must be on Heartworm preventative treatment e.g. Heartguard (Please bring an adequate amount for the length of training)

4)Must be on a Flea and Tick preventative treatment

5)If your dog is an excessive barker, we ask that you furnish a bark collar, or we will purchase one for you and bill you accordingly. The collar will be yours to keep at the end of your dog’s stay.

We offer handling service for hunt tests. If your dog is in training with us and you would like us to handle your dog at a hunt test we would be happy to do so if we believe your dog is ready for a hunt test.
Hunt Test Handling Fees:
$75.00/dog per test
Owner is responsible for entry fees and for entering the event.
